Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and the password managed by our authentication provider.
• Content you create — your portfolio, proposals, invoices, and any client details (names, emails, phone numbers) you choose to enter.
• Payment information — when you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by our payment provider (OPay). We receive confirmation of your payment but do not store your card or bank details.
• Usage information — basic technical data such as device/browser type and how you use the product, used to keep Hivvy secure and improve it.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Hivvy service.
• To process Pro subscriptions and referral rewards.
• To send you essential service messages (e.g. account, billing, and security notices).
• To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.

AI features

When you use Hivvy's AI tools (proposal drafts and cover letters), the text you submit is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the output. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information you don't want processed this way.

Service providers

We rely on trusted third parties to run Hivvy, including:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• OpenAI — AI proposal and cover-letter generation.
• OPay — payment processing for Pro.
• Vercel & Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers above, when required by law, or to protect Hivvy and its users. Note that anything you publish (e.g. a public portfolio) is visible to anyone with the link.

Data retention & your rights

We keep your information while your account is active. You can access, correct, or delete your data — or close your account — by emailing support@usehivvy.com, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Security

We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Children

Hivvy is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
